David I, too, have been taking the ACELA to NYC from Route 128 station in Norqwood. I've noticed that there are huge efforts made to duplicate the airline experience. From my perspective, that's setting one's sights awfully low! On teh speed front, there are several stretches of track where "crawl" woudl best decribe the progress, but Amtrak is unable/unwilling to improve the infrastructure to raise the speed limit in those stretches. Also, obviously every expense has been spared in cleaning the trackside mess - what's up with that? Any trash pix frothcoming?
