And sure enough, the joint was jumping.

With possible murky roots in Shrove Tuesday, IHOP’s National Pancake Day is a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network of hospitals.

I also enjoyed the opportunity to trot out the engagingly retro term, “short stack” (that’s three pancakes if you’re still wondering) without getting slapped by the waitress.  Oddly, the short stack isn’t even on the IHOP menu anymore.
